Description

King’s Prosciutto di San Daniele Disossato is produced by the town of the same name in the region in northeastern Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia. San Daniele is recognizable by its distinctive guitar shape, the presence of the pig’s foot and the imprinted consortium mark. The ingredients that make up this delicious ham are only Italian pork legs and salt; no preservatives or additives are used to produce the ham.

Salt, weather and the unique climatic characteristics of San Daniele del Friuli, where breezes from the Adriatic Sea cross with fresh air from the Alps, are the real secrets that turn a heavy pork leg into a renowned San Daniele Prosciutto. Only farms in a specific area are chosen for San Daniele King’s: between Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto where pigs born, raised and slaughtered in Italy are fed on a diet of noble grains and whey, as in the old days, controlled by the Consortium’s Production Regulations.

Thus was born a DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) ham that stands out for its balance of sweetness and fragrance. The uniform red-pink color, the intense fragrance, the sweet and delicate taste that melts in the mouth when tasting it, these are the inimitable characteristics that make it a signature ham for true connoisseurs.

Seasoning can last from 16 up to 30 months.
